Today One Eyed View is proud to participate in spreading the word about a great community-based website called DonorsChoose.org. This is yet another example of how the Internet can bring us all closer together to benefit each other, and our children. What’s it all about?
Teachers ask. You choose. Students learn.
DonorsChoose is a simple way to provide students in need with resources that our public schools often lack.
Here, teachers submit ideas for materials or experiences that their students need to learn. Individuals like you can choose a project and make it a classroom reality.
SEARCH for projects in need of funding.
Teachers—submit a proposal.
This is one of those websites that reminds me of my favorite qoute from the movie American Pie. Although this qoute was spoken by a character in the movie in response to viewing a webcam, I think it’s appropriate. “God bless the Internet!”

I heard of a similar site at http://www.iloveschools.com. They give 100% of my donations directly to the teacher of my choice. Check them out.
