I’m not a particularly political person, but I am looking forward to a new administration in the White House. One of the front runners on my list is Barack Obama. I think he would make a fine president from what I’ve seen so far, that’s why this latest CNN news bulletin struck me enough to post about it.This just in from CNN:
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has been placed under the protection of the U.S. Secret Service, reportedly because of a threat against him, the Secret Service said Thursday.
Now, I am concerned for Mr. Obama’s safety, and I hope this threat is not credible, but I am also a bit of a paranoid and conspiracy theorist and this looks to me to be all too convenient.
Imagine for a moment that this “threat” could have been “orchestrated” for the explicit purpose of planting the “seed” that because of Barack Obama’s race, he might be more susceptible to danger than other candidates and therefore some people who would otherwise vote for him, may not.
On the other hand, I did just watch The Good Shepherd recently and I have had more than my fair share of caffeine today. I also just re-read what I’ve written above and it does sound a bit paranoid doesn’t it?
What do you think?

It sounds to me like the Secret Service is being used to protect him. Perhaps someone wants to ensure his presence in the race. The question is: will he win?
