The Thinking Blogger Awards

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or sign up for free Email Updates. Thanks for visiting!
I’m happy to announce that One Eyed View has been selected for a Thinking Blogger Award.

The selection came from Sharon E. Herbert, the author of the Ghosts in the Machine blog who was also recently given this award.
The Thinking Blogger meme was started by Ilker Yoldas at The Thinking Blog, with the premise “Too many blogs, not enough thoughts!â€. I’m very honoured that Theresa thought that what I’m writing here is thought-provoking, as this blog was intended as a place for me to explore ideas, document my research and hopefully engage others in discussion. I’m pleased to accept the award and pay it forward to five other bloggers because I would like to promote those who think before they write, who do some research, who explore and who ask provocative questions.
In nominating these five*, I want to make it clear that none of them are under any obligation to accept the award, link back to me or to carry on the meme; this is simply an opportunity to point others to blogs that I respect and have come to read regularly:
Sharon at Ghosts in the Machine– I am so happy that I happened across Sharon’s blog. She posts very interesting articles and thoughts on a variety of subjects related to privacy issues in the digital age.
I am an information management professional with 17 years of experience - as a library manager, a systems analyst and records manager. This is where I explore issues related to knowledge management, digital identity and privacy, with a Canadian focus.
Steve at cymru66 - Steve has proved to be an entertaining and informative blogger. I always enjoy his posts, and the variety is refreshing.
Born in Wales, now living in Virginia Beach, VA. I love to run; and race most weekends (5k\’s to marathons). I’m also a triathlete and finished my first Ironman in 2004. In my spare time I love web site design, music, reading and gadgets.
Deanna at For the Love of the Dog– I am an animal lover and love blogs with interesting pet-related information. Deanna’s blog fills this need perfectly.
Current news, tips and information for you and your canine companion. Rescue, shelter and adoption information. Dog advocacy; information and articles to raise your awareness on animal right issues, ie. puppy mills, animal cruelty, laws and legislation for the betterment of animal rights.
Carl at CarlOcab - This blog is primarily about how to make money online. We’ve all seen plenty of scam sites related to this subject, but CarlOcab is different. Not only are the articles here insightful and helpful, but what surprises most people to learn is that Carl is only 13. He is getting started early in his web marketing ventures, but already is generating a large following.
I’m only a 13 year old (young, I think) kid who lives in the Philippines. I am a half time blogger and a half time student as well. I am VERY naughty, just forgive me about it.
I think I started this blog on Feb 4 this year 2007. I made this blog in presence with Boredom (see my first post, if you want). I just hope that I will satisfy you each time you visit as I serve you fresh and useful techniques! yummy…
Jim and Em at Go! Smell the Flowers. - This is the last on my list, but by no means least! This is one of my favorite blogs because they have a great story and are all about positivity. This blog offers interesting tidbits daily, fun reader polls, and contests for everyone. Visit this blog and you WILL NOT be sorry;)
GO! Smell the flowers aims to inform, entertain and enlighten people from all over our increasingly smaller world. Why wait until you’re dead and pushing up flowers from the grave? Life is too short and we endeavour to inspire people and help them discover their reason to be and be the best they can…or at least think about what they can change in their life for the better…..who doesn’t want that?
*Should you choose to participate, please make sure you pass this list of rules to the blogs you are tagging.
The participation rules are simple:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).
