The World As We Know It

I have been invited to post a review of a blog I regularly read, The World As We Know It.
What I love:
- It’s personal. I can see who’s behind the posts, I think this adds great value and keeps me coming back for more.
- It’s well laid out and offers tons of great advice for both bloggers, internet geeks, as well as your average “non-techy” reader.
- Travel tips galore!
What I love less:
- It’s hosted on Blogger. I am a Wordpress devotee and I think this blog in particular would be better served from a self hosted Wordpress installation. Not only would the writer’s have more freedom with the overall design, but they would also have access to hundreds of free plugins to enhance the functionality of their site.
- It’s slow loading for me, but that may be due to our distance from each other.
Please have a look for yourself and feel free to comment.

Oh, we think alike. I love wordpress too.
I have tried explaining about the Aura of Wordpress to Mr. Clyde (I know him in offline world as well) but he didn’t agree. Now that you have also suggested the same thing…
Lets hope he does something about it :), may be not for this blog but for his future blogs.

Hey,
Thank you so much for the comment.
My blog is actually my web journal. Something I can look up when I need help with designing interfaces.
I am currently in the process of hosting this blog on my own servers so I get freedom to do what I want with it. Wordpress doesn’t allow all that on this free version.
I will drop in often on this space, so..
Keep writing,
Amit
